[News] SEWU Division of Educational Welfare Holds Certificate Ceremony for the Origami Instructor Program

The Department of Education & Welfare at Soongeui Women’s University held a certificate award ceremony on the afternoon of the 11th for the 1st “Korean Origami Instructor Program,” jointly operated in collaboration with the Paper Culture Foundation (Chairperson Young-hye Noh) as part of an industry–academic cooperation initiative.
The Origami Instructor Program was designed to cultivate professional origami instructors among students of the Department of Education & Welfare.
The ceremony was attended by Kyung-ho Park, President of Soongeui Women’s University; Gyu-il Jung, CEO of Jongina-ra; Myung-sook Jung, President of the Korea Paper Culture Federation, along with faculty and staff members of the university. A total of 22 students from the Department of Education & Welfare were honored at the event.
The Origami Instructor Program consisted of three intensive training sessions, focusing on designing creative and formative activities tailored to developmental stages and on hands-on training to develop programs that can be immediately applied in educational and welfare settings.
A student from the Department of Early Childhood Education who participated in the program shared, “Through origami, I realized that it can be an excellent tool for fostering children’s imagination and creativity. It was a valuable opportunity to learn how origami activities can be effectively utilized from the perspective of child development and education.”
Myung-sook Jung, President of the Korea Paper Culture Federation, stated, “This program will contribute to nurturing creative, convergence-oriented talents who can work effectively in education and welfare fields through curricula tailored to the characteristics of each major.
